I love these songs because the live sessions were me just singing my heart out....not thinking about whether or not I was doing it perfectly. I was recording songs as I wrote them so I could listen and take time to decide how I was going to put together my second album. As the years went by and I kept going into the studio to do live recordings, I realized there was an honesty and a directness in those songs that I did not want to change.
